Welcome to Bengal College of Engineering


Bengal College of Engineering (formerly known as BCETW) was established by the SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2009. Now it is co-educational college offering courses in the domain of Computing, Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Situated in the posh locality of Durgapur, the Steel City of Bengal the college has robust infrastructure with modern architectonic features. Starting its journey eight years back, the institute has already positioned itself among the premier engineering institutes in the Asansol-Durgapur industrial belt.


The campus comprises the college building, separate boys and girls hostels, the playground, modern cafeteria, drinking water facilities. Winner of Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards 2019:
For the first time ever, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) along with the Engineering Council of India (ECI) on September 19 in New Delhi felicitated the award winners of “AICTE-ECI Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards” from Degree & Diploma level Technical Institutions/Universities that are AICTE approved. The Council received 965 nominations from 23 States. All nominations were further shortlisted and finally 55 Teams comprising of around 250 students and their Mentors displayed prototype on 19th September, 2019 in AICTE HQs premises, Nelson Mandela, Marg, New Delhi. 3rd year students of ECE of “BENGAL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING” grabbed 2nd PRIZE in the outstanding student Engineers award category. The title of the project was “POWER GENERATION BY FOOTSTEP”. This project works as the staircase of the crowded areas like bus stand, shopping mall, railway stations etc. when a man stand on the stair case the platform goes down due to the body weight and generate the electric power, which will be used for that complex instantly or may be stored in the battery for future use. The project was made by the 3rd year ECE students Anjali Kumari Gupta, Ritu Kumari, Jagriti Jaiswara and Sima Roy under the supervision Mr. Samir Basak . This project was appreciated by all the visitors, jurry members and the Chairman of AICTE and ECI. The rank as all india is 2nd but 1st in West Bengal as well as in Eastern India. The award was given by honourable MoS, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Dr. Satya Pal Singh.

• International Women’s Day

• Swachhta Pakhwada
BCE observed Swachhta Pakhwada from 1st to 15th September 2019. During this period, our campus was vibrant with various activities and events related to sanitation & cleanliness. Many activities were conceptualized and carried out to spread the message of Swachh Bharat, Swastha Bharat.

• Vigilance Awareness Week
• BCE observed Vigilance Awareness Week 31st October to 5th November. The programme began at Conference hall of our College by taking pledge by faculty , Staff and students. Our College has got the Certificate of Commitment from Central Vigilance Commission.

• Constitution Day
• BCE observed 26th November as “Constitution Day”. To commemorate this occasion, students of our college conducted a short speech programme with enthusiasm and importance.
